A 20 year old cyclist died Tuesday after being struck by a Target big rig truck in Carson, which is about 13 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. The truck was turning from Susana Road onto Del Amo Boulevard just after 5 p.m, when the fatal bicycle accident occurred. The two cyclists were passing through the intersection when they were hit by the truck. One cyclist, a woman, suffered minor injuries. The other cyclist, a 20 year old man, died after he was pinned under the rear axle. The cause of this Los Angeles bicycle fatality accident is currently being investigated. The dangerous intersection of Del Amo Boulevard and Susana Road is a main thoroughfare for large big rig trucks coming off the 710 freeway.
