MAY 27, 2009 – A 25-year-old San Bernardino man was killed and three others injured when the car they were riding in was struck by several other vehicles about 5:45 a.m., the Riverside County Coroner’s office reported. The accident occurred on Highway 74, about 400 feet east of Antelope Road in Romoland. The dead man, identified as Mario Ernesto Malagon Fernandez, was wearing a seat belt, the coroner’s office said. The injuries to two of the victims were described as moderate and the other minor, said a spokeswoman for the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. Another person refused treatment.
