JUNE 2, 2009 - A mother and her three kids suffered minor to moderate injuries after she drove off the edge of a canyon, the California Highway Patrol reported. Kimberly Krowell, 42, of Lake Isabella was driving a 2005 Kia east on Highway 178 when she veered off the north edge of the highway about 7:30 p.m. and down a rocky hillside, authorities said. Her 1-year-old daughter, Hanna Middleton, was airlifted to Kern Medical Center with moderate injuries. Krowell also had moderate injuries. The other two children, 12-year-old Timothy Delpit and 5-year-old Mehgan Houster, suffered minor injuries. All four were wearing seat belts, authorities said. The CHP is continuing its investigation.
