Motorcyclist Died Saturday after Crashing in Temecula

JULY 12, 2009 - A 55-year-old man was killed when he drove his motorcycle through a three-way intersection and slammed into a dirt berm, authorities said. Michael Strong of Murrieta was traveling east on Solana Way about 5:15 p.m., when he rode through the intersection at Del Rey Road and crashed into a dirt berm dead end on the opposite side, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Nearby residents came to Strong’s aid before he was transported to Rancho Springs Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead at 6:02 p.m., officials said. Strong was wearing a helmet, authorities said. The Temecula Police Department is investigating the crash.
