AUGUST 14, 2009 – A speeding car crashed into a tree on the Colorado Street off-ramp from Interstate 5, killing two occupants of the vehicle, authorities said. Glendale residents Robert Vardanyan, 21, and Tina Uguryan, 18, were traveling south on the I-5 in Atwater Village when the driver exited the freeway at a high rate of speed and slammed into the tree shortly after 9 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The impact of the collision split the Nissan in half and killed both occupants. Witnesses told investigators the driver had just cut off a motorist before losing control near Eagle Rock. It was unclear which victim was driving the vehicle. The CHP is continuing to investigate the fatal I-5 accident.

i can’t stop thinking about you tina. you are always on my mind and heart. i just can’t come to reality that your really gone. i search your name on the internet all the time and all these newpaper articles pop up about you and your death, then i knew it is real. it’s so sad why you? such a beautiful and smart girl, it’s just a waste in my eyes to see such a great person gone. i really love you, i don’t think i’ve got a chance to tell you that. i was at your funeral. it was so sad to see your parents, family, and friends. i shed so many tears for you and i still do.
rest in peace, your God’s child now.
