The San Joaquin County accident occurred around 6:40 p.m. Monday, on eastbound I-580, east of Corral Hollow Road. According to the CHP, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, who was not identified, lost control of his blue 1993 GMC pickup truck and struck the median. The <em>Tracy Press</em> reported the teen suffered a possible head injury and was taken by helicopter to a local hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The CHP does not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. </span></span></p>

The accident happened on the transition from northbound Meridian Avenue to Interstate Highway 280. The driver, Sean Betti, lost control of his vehicle and struck a dirt embankment, causing the vehicle to rollover. A 25-year-old Campbell man was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Valley Medical Center, where he died of his injuries shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday. Another passenger was not hurt in the crash, the CHP said. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. </span></span></p>

Anna Reznik of Gilroy was driving south on Hwy 101 when she was struck by a Toyota Sequoia driven by Yong Ae Bowman, 69, who was attempting a turn onto northbound 101 from San Juan Road.</span></span></p>

Reznik sustained a massive head injury and broke numerous bones. She was bedridden for six months and now remains in a wheelchair and requires around the clock care. Bowman, the driver of the other vehicle, suffered less serious injuries.</span></span></p>

The intersection is dangerous in part because vehicles turning left from San Juan Road onto northbound 101 must cross two lanes of southbound traffic before merging into the fast lane of a 60 mph freeway.  Entering southbound is also dangerous because cars can turn simultaneously from both lanes.</span></span></p>

According to reports by Mercury News, Savatiel Sanchez Guttierrez, 23, the driver of the BMW, was  travelling north on Holohan Road, hear Highway 152, when he crossed over double yellow lines into southbound traffic.  His BMW collided with a Toyota Camry driven by a 26-year-old woman. </span></span></p>

Guttierrez was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and a misdemeanor charge of not having a driver&#8217;s license. A CHP officer said that Guttierrez  had never been licensed. </span></span></p>

The double-fatal collision occurred at about 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Dickenson Ferry Road and Gurr Road.  According to reports in the Merced Sun Star, Stephen Cardoso, 25, of Merced, was driving a 2005 Ford F-350 pickup truck east on Dickenson Ferry Road, approaching the intersection of Gurr Road. Meanwhile, Gabrial Borunda, 25, of Atwater, was driving a 2001 Ford Focus soutbound on Gurr Road, approaching Dickenson Ferry Road.</span></span></p>

Both vehicles rolled several times. Cardoso and Garunda both died at the scene of the crash. Please keep the families of both of these young people in your prayers. According to Maclaren, the stroller&#8217;s hinge mechanism poses a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child when the consumer is unfolding/opening the stroller. </span></span></p>

According to the CPSC website, 15 children have reportedly lost the tips of their fingers from the strollers. Maclaren is providing a free kit to all consumers that consists of hinge covers to protect the strollers. The victim, identified as Sharon Boyd, was taken to Lodi Memorial Hospital following the <a href="http://www.esteybomberger.com/pedestrian.html">pedestrian accident</a>, which occurred around 11 a.m. Boyd, who was heading east on Walnut Street in a crosswalk, was struck by an unlicensed 18-year-old driver turning on Ham Lane. Boyd was trapped under the vehicle and suffered bone fractures, head trauma and lacerations. Police reported the driver would likely be charged with not yielding to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The San Joaquin County accident remains under investigation. </span></span></p>

The crash occurred on San Dieguito Road, near Circa Del Norte, at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Authorities reported alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash. </p>

<p class="MsoNormalCxSpFirst" style="margin: auto auto 0pt; line-height: normal; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small"><em><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'"></span></em><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'">William Wardrip, 16, of Encinitas, was one of five occupants in a gold-colored 1999 Lexus GL 470, authorities reported. Wardrip, a rear seat passenger, was reportedly the only passenger not wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle was travelling west when the driver lost control and struck a curve, causing the SUV to roll several times. Wardrip was ejected from the car and died at the scene of the crash. One other teen had to be extracted from the vehicle. The driver of the car, also 16, and 3 other passengers under 18 were taken to the hospital. Three of the four suffered moderate injuries, a Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District Spokesman said.  Authorities are investigating the cause of the Rancho Santa Fe rollover accident. </p>

<p class="MsoNormalCxSpFirst" style="margin: auto auto 0pt; line-height: normal; text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small"><em><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'"></span></em><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'">Sunday’s crashed marked the second time this month that a teenage passenger has died in a solo vehicle rollover crash in Rancho Santa Fe. Alex Capozza, 17, of Carmel Valley was killed in a crash near the Rancho Santa Fe golf course on October 4. The 17-year-old driver of the vehicle involved in that accident was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. </p>
